My brother Bill, wants to be in a brass band but can only play the penny whistle.?
Does he need to polish up on his instrument playing, or has he got a dull future ahead of him?
His whistle playing is rather rusty and falling on deaf ears. This could be instrumental in his music career being flat. He's getting brassed off, but there's no need to get the violins out. If he pipes up, starts playing to a different tune and makes a concerted effort, he may yet shine in the band (but tell him not to hold his breath). He could have a tinkle on the piano or fiddle with an organ to find out if that's his forte but it may have repercussions.
