Flute question...help!!!?
hey there!
Well, Im gonna start my private lesson pretty soon, and when I talked to my teacher some interesting things came up. One of them was that he has already planned the song that I will audition with when I go to college (Berklee most likely). Its the BACH SONATA #2.
I was wondering if it is a strong piece to audtion with? Is it impressive? or anything...
One more thing!
De la Sonorite Art et Technique AND Taffanel-17 daily exercies....heard of those flute methods?
Are they good?

It's definately a pretty good piece, doing site reading randomly one day in concert band of a big master piece combining a bunch of the classical music and if memory serves correct that was one of them, however, don't have the teacher just choose your audition piece. If you don't enjoy it, at all, and can't play it's not worth time and effort. You need to choose a piece that you like, enjoy, and have down good, at the same time it needs to be a good audition piece and everything. However double check though, some auditions have required music you must use to audition on.
I think I've heard of it, but I could have just been looking at a book. The book's I've been learning from is the Trevor Wye book, and so many technique books and breathing books.
