I want to sell my flute but I don't know what the model number is.?
It's an Armstrong and I bought it for about $400. The case inside is black velvet. What do you think the model number is? How much should I sell it for? I'm going to print out flyers and post them around a city. What should I do to make it eyecatching? What information should I put on there?
I am a professional flutist and teacher. On the NECK on the flute, under the name. should be a model number - 104, 103B, something like that. You should also know if you flute is all silver ( not likely, for what you paid) silver plated, or a silver HEAD and plated body (again, not likely, unless you got a really good deal on a used one.) http://www.armstrongwinds.com/content/products.php?sub=Flute
On this page, you can compare your flute to the descriptions and photos - you will need to know if it is open hole or closed hole, C foot or Bo foot, offset or inline G key. and anything else, like split E, extra trill keys - again, not likely.
Selling prices for used student flutes are less than HALF of what you paid for it. This flute is NOT in demand - most teachers recommend other brands. You will be most successful selling this to a beginning flute student in you school district - contact band directors, and give THEM your fliers.
Do not try to sell this online. You will only get a ton of Nigerian 411 spams.
